Thamar University Holds Academic Workshop to Develop Executive Plan for Colleges and Centers for the Year 1447

■ Under the generous patronage of Professor Dr. Muhammad Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance organized a workshop this morning to prepare the executive plan for the university's colleges and centers. The workshop was held in the center's hall, attended by academic deans, center directors and heads of quality units.

The event began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem. This was followed by a speech by the University Rector, delivered on his behalf by Professor Dr. Abdulkarim Zabiba, the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.

Professor Dr. Zabiba emphasized the importance of holding this workshop and its profound implications within the framework of the university's commitment to adopting development plans that contribute to advancing academic work and ensuring quality. He praised the university presidency's support and sponsorship of this event, which is a key building block in achieving the university's strategic goals.

Professor Adel Al-Ansi, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance, delivered a welcoming speech to the participants. He explained that the workshop is an extension of the university's commitment to enhancing academic accreditation standards.

The workshop program also included a presentation on the concepts of academic development, academic accreditation standards and a review of practical experiences through interactive discussion groups.

Associate Professor Dr. Tawfiq Musleh Al-Sanbani delivered a lecture on the concepts of strategic planning, explaining its main pillars, vision, mission, objectives and analysis of the internal and external environment and reviewing the most prominent features of the university's strategic plan.

From his part, Professor Hamoud Al-Mulaiki delivered a specialized lecture on preparing executive plans for colleges and centers, addressing the foundations of evaluation and reporting to ensure effective implementation and meet accreditation and quality requirements.

The workshop was attended by Dr. Mohammed Hutram, the General Secretary of the University, and Nasser Najad, the Secretary of the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance, as well as a number of deans of colleges and heads of academic centers and units.

The workshop sessions were characterized by interactive discussions and rich discussions. Participants also emphasized the need to continue holding such meetings to support the path of academic development, as they are a key pillar in building Thamar University, a scientific edifice that keeps pace with changes and raises the level of university education.
