Thamar University Celebrates the International Quality day

■ In celebration of the International Quality Day, Thamar University organized today a festival event under the slogan (Quality Assurance and Accreditation is a National Responsibility and a Global culture), attending Private Universities in the Governorate.
In his speech during the event, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, said that " Thamar University is keen on applying quality standards and academic accreditation in order to achieve the University's mission of providing outstanding Educational and research services that contribute to achieving sustainable development, Through a stimulating academic environment, responsible institutional leadership, competent cadres, a developed infrastructure, and an effective community partnership ".
Dr. Al-Haifi confirmed to support the University's leadership for academic development and continuous improvement in order to ensure quality, pointing out that this is the main pillar through which the University will achieve a prestigious academic position among Higher Education Institutions.
He added that " The university has achieved many achievements in the field of quality and academic accreditation, the latest of which was the accreditation of the medicine and surgery program as the first university to obtain this accreditation ".
From his part, Professor Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Saafani, the General Director of Evaluation at the Council for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research said that the international celebration of quality every year represents a stop to review the level of performance in the quality issue, and ensure the steps taken in this aspect.
He added that each institution has its own quality system according to international standards, with the aim of ensuring permanent development, because the concept of quality is a continuous concept.
He pointed out that quality concerns not only Higher Education Institutions, but all Institutions, and that there is a government directive to oblige all institutions to provide accreditation for all programs.
Dr. Al-Saafani ensured that quality standards should include all Institutions as a "National Responsibility"
Hence, it was adopted as the logo for our celebration of the occasion this year. He expressed his congratulations to Thamar University as the first Yemeni Public University to receive academic accreditation for Medicine and Surgery Program.
During the event, a number of experiments in quality and accreditation, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Sanea, Prof. Dr. Zaid Al-Hadur have shown " Thamar University experience". While reviewing" Al-Saeeda University Experience " Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Haifi, the Vice-Rector of Al-Saeeda University Experience c ", the Dean of the Academic Development Center, also reviewed, " Guinness University Experience " Prof. Dr. Khalid Al-Husseini, the Dean of the Academic Development Center at Guinness University.
The event was attended by the Rector of Al-Hikma University, Dr. Mukhtar Dail Al-Areqi, the Rector of Al-Saeeda University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Junaid, the Rector of Al-Hikma University Branch, Dr. Amin Al-Salal, and the Vice-Rectors of Thamar University, Dr. Adel Al-Ansi, Dr. Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Assistant of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Adel Al-Eryani, the Vice-Rector of Al-Dhale University, Dr. Yahya Al-Fajeer, the General Secartary of Thamar University, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr. Ahmed Al-Dumaini, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Fouad Al-Jarmouzi, and the Consultant of the University, Mr. Hassan Al-Moushki.
