The Rector of Thamar University Assesses the Effectiveness of Supporting Alaqsa flood on the Sidelines of a Workshop Describing two Master's Programs at the Faculty of Education Thamar University Media/Jamal Al-Bahri / Jumad Akher 4 1445. December 17, 2023 ■ Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University and within the continuity of holding "Al-Aqsa Flood" events at Thamar University, its Colleges, Institutes and Centers, the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance organized today a workshop entitled "Discussion and Approval of the Characterization of the two Master's Programs Linguistics and Issues of Arabic Language, Literature and Criticism" in the Department of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Education with the participation of 42 participants and the participation of Faculty Members and their Assistants. Before the opening of the workshop, the Rector of the University delivered a lecture on the importance of Palestine in our conscience and the role of the Professor, Educator, and Academic in reviving the national, religious and national feeling among students in schools and universities. In his speech, the Rector of the University added that if our efforts are not dedicated to Allah to defend His sanctities, our dignity, and our existence, then what is the use of worldly gains if they are not a companion to the religious gains ordered by Allah, and a sense of belonging to the religion of Islam. In addition, the Rector of the University spoke about the topic of the workshop and pointed out the need to focus on the independence of the programs of the Faculty of Education, especially the Master's Program in Linguistics, Arabic language Issues, Literature, Criticism, and the need for the program to reflect the needs of researchers in the Educational field, the specificity of specialization, and the need to take into account the specificity of similar programs in other disciplines. From his part, the Vice-Rector of the University for Higher Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Abdulkarim Zabibah, pointed out that the Faculty of Education has its own specificity, and it is necessary when characterizing the program to take into account the specificity of the Faculty, and the teaching methods used in it. He stressed the importance of the workshop to be distinguished by the criteria that distinguish the program and to provide a unique addition to specialists in the educational field. He stressed the need to maintain the link, the close relationship between the specialized fields in graduate studies with the previous disciplines previously studied by researchers. From his part, the Vice-Rector of the University for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Adel Al-Ansi pointed out that the educational program serves Arabic Language teachers and develops their academic abilities which contributes to enhancing the quality of the College's outputs, and also encourages educational researchers to develop themselves in important and special educational fields which form a pillar of the education process in the country in general. In turn, the Vice-Rector of the University for Student Affairs, also stressed the need to take into account the mission and general objectives of the College in the design of the program and the need for the graduate program to serve the objectives of the College and its mission. As Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Dumaini, the Dean of the Faculty of Education pointed out that this educational program meets the needs of the Faculty for the development of its graduates and opens new horizons for Higher Studies in various important disciplines studied at the Faculty. He stressed that the College will continue to expand graduate programs in various fields of education with the aim of strengthening educational specialization in the country with qualified academic cadres. At the end of the workshop, the Dean of the Quality Center, Dr. Zaid Al-Hadur, stated that the contents of the program description were discussed by the participants and recommendations and notes were provided on the description to comply with scientific and academic standards.
