Thamar University Concludes University Teacher Training Course

■ In pursuit of developing academic performance and enhancing the efficiency of the teaching staff, Thamar University concluded today a training program for university teacher preparation.
The program was organized by the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance, targeting newly appointed faculty members and their assistants.
The closing ceremony was attended by the sponsor of the training program, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, who delivered a speech in which he expressed his happiness with the success of the course, emphasizing that it represents the first in a series of ambitious programs aimed at achieving a qualitative shift in university education.
He explained that the university has made updating the descriptions of all academic courses and organizing advanced training courses for all faculty members a priority for the next phase.
The ceremony opened with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the playing of the national anthem of the Republic of Yemen.
The Vice Dean of the College of Sharia delivered a speech on behalf of the trainees, expressing the participants' gratitude to the university's leadership and the training team, who provided innovative, quality content reflecting deep expertise in the fields of quality and effective university teaching.
He specifically mentioned the university's quality experts, including the Dean of the Center, Professor Adel Al-Ansi, and professors Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Sanea, Dr. Ahmed Al-Hadi, and Dr. Abdulkarim Al-Mawshki, praising their distinguished contributions.
The closing ceremony was also attended by a number of university leaders, led by Professor Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Adel Al-Ansi, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and the Dean of the Academic Development Center, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, the General Secretary of the University, Dr. Essam Wasil, the Head of the Libraries Department, and Dr. Salah Al-Qawsi, the Vice Dean of Continuing Education.
During the ceremony, the University Rector honored the program's supervisory committee with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their efforts. He also honored the center's preparation and organizing committees, including Dr. Ahmed Al-Farasi, Dr. Fatima Al-Sagheer, the Center's General Secretary, Mr Nasser Najad, and Mr. Marwan Al-Mikhlafi.
The ceremony concluded with the honoring of the newly appointed faculty members and their assistants who successfully participated in this program. This ceremony was held in recognition of their commitment and willingness to assume academic responsibility and was a sign of their successful completion of the qualifying training course.
Thamar University continues to make steady progress toward consolidating the quality of university education and empowering academic staff with the means, methods and tools of excellence and innovation in a modern and effective educational environment.
