Thamar University Student Affairs Council Holds its Second Meeting for the Academic Year 1448

■ In line with the regularity of institutional work and the strengthening of periodic follow-up on student affairs, Thamar University Student Affairs Council continues to hold its meetings regularly, in implementation of the directives of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, regarding the regularity of council meetings in the university's various sectors, colleges, centers, and units, to ensure the prompt handling of student issues and to keep pace with the requirements of the educational process.

This morning, the Student Affairs Council held its second meeting for the academic year 1448, chaired by Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Abdul Fattah Al-Rifai, the Vice Rector of the University for Student Affairs and Head of the Council, and attended by council members representing the various university colleges.

At the outset of the meeting, Professor Dr. Al-Rifai emphasized the importance of ensuring the smooth operation of the educational process and expediting the registration procedures for first-year students, particularly in colleges where the application and admission period has been extended beyond the announcement of the high school results. This is crucial to guarantee the timely completion of admission and registration procedures and enable students to commence their studies.

The council discussed several topics and memoranda submitted by the university's colleges and took the necessary actions and decisions after reviewing and discussing them in accordance with applicable regulations and bylaws.

The council began its agenda by reading and approving the minutes of its first meeting, held on Muharram 5, 1448 (June 20, 2026), before moving on to discuss several topics related to student data and files.

The issues raised by the colleges included requests to correct the names and information of several students in the College of Medical Sciences, the College of Dentistry, the College of Computer Science and Informatics, the College of Administrative Sciences, and the College of Medicine, in addition to other memoranda submitted by various colleges regarding different student-related matters.

The council also reviewed several requests related to issuing student documents and the observations and memoranda received from the relevant colleges, emphasizing the importance of completing the procedures related to student files to improve services provided to students and support the stability of the educational process.
