The Student Affairs Office at Thamar University Held a Comprehensive Meeting to Review Organizational and Technical Preparations for Launching the Registration and Admission Process for the Academic Year 1448

■ The Student Affairs Office at Thamar University held a comprehensive meeting, chaired by Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the University Rector, to discuss the ongoing preparations for launching the registration and admission process for the academic year 1448.
The meeting was attended by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Registrar, and several members of the Student Affairs Office staff.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Rifai reviewed a number of procedures and preparations completed by the Student Affairs Office as a part of the early preparations for launching the registration and admission process. He noted the efforts made by the relevant departments to ensure the process is implemented in an organized and efficient manner, thus contributing to accommodating the increasing number of students wishing to enroll in the various colleges of Thamar University.
During the meeting, the University Rector commended the efforts of the Student Affairs Office, led by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and the Registrar, and all staff working in this vital sector. He praised the high level of efficiency in managing admissions and registration, and the remarkable progress the university has made in this area. This progress has contributed to Thamar University achieving first place among Yemeni universities for the third consecutive year. He also highlighted the development and improvement of student services, the simplification of procedures, and the removal of obstacles that applicants may face.
From his part, Dr. Al-Rifai expressed his gratitude to the Rector of Thamar University for his continuous support and attention to the Student Affairs Office, its leadership, and staff. He emphasized that the constant oversight the office receives has contributed to achieving a distinguished level of accomplishment and performance.
He considered this commendation an additional incentive to exert even greater efforts in the coming period to further enhance the quality of services provided to students in the upcoming academic year 1448.
The Registrar also reviewed the work of the technical, financial, and administrative staff in preparing new forms, templates, and announcements. These represent additional organizational inputs aimed at improving coordination and admission procedures, keeping pace with the significant increase in the number of students applying for admission to the colleges of Thamar University.
During and after the meeting, he presented to the University Rector several modern services and technological systems that the university is working to integrate into the admissions and registration system. These include a comprehensive digital application for archives and documents, containing digital copies of all data for registered and coordinated students in the university's colleges from the first year until graduation. He also mentioned the introduction of modern devices for printing digital cards and student identification devices during exams, which will enhance the accuracy of procedures and streamline the educational process.
At the end of the field visit, the University Rector, his Deputy for Student Affairs, and the Registrar inspected several relevant departments, including the Computer Department and the Archives and Documents Department, to assess the progress and ongoing preparations for launching the coordination and admission phase for the upcoming academic year 1448.
