The Ministry of Education and Scientific Research's Closure Committee Commends Thamar University's Performance and Recommends Honoring the Student Affairs Office

■ In a positive step reflecting the commitment of Thamar University's leadership, headed by Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, to achieve the strategic visions for higher education, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, along with the University Registrar, Abdulmalik Al-Muallami, and several officials from the Student Affairs Office, visited the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research today to discuss a number of educational issues related to the closure of general registration at the university.
In line with the commitment of Thamar University's leadership to educational policies and strengthening institutional coordination with the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, and in accordance with the strategic visions for higher education, and following the directives of Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, accompanied by the University Registrar, Abdulmalik Al-Muallami, and several leaders and staff members from the Student Affairs Office, paid an official visit today to the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research.
During the visit, an extensive meeting was held to discuss a number of academic and organizational issues related to the procedures for closing admissions and registration for the academic year 1447 at Thamar University. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Hatem Al-Duais, the Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ibrahim Luqman, the Undersecretary of the Higher Education Sector and Head of the Admissions and Registration Closing Committee, Dr. Fouad Abdulrazzaq, the Deputy Head of the Committee and Head of the Information Technology Center at the Ministry, Mohammed Zahra, the General Director of Public Education, as well as several members of the Closing Committee and relevant officials.
The meeting discussed the mechanisms and procedures for closing registration, the university's adherence to ministerial regulations and instructions, and the integrity of admission and registration documents and data. The closure committee commended the outstanding efforts of Thamar University and its leadership in managing student affairs, highlighting the university's demonstrated institutional discipline, high level of compliance with regulations and prompt completion of required documents within the specified deadlines over the past years.
The committee also praised Thamar University, represented by the Student Affairs Office, for its remarkable achievement in adhering to the regulations and instructions governing the admission and registration process. For the fourth consecutive year, the university has successfully completed the required documentation for the closure procedures within the specified deadlines.
The technical committee at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research recommended honoring the Student Affairs Office at Thamar University in recognition of its outstanding institutional efforts and their positive impact on the smooth operation of the educational process.
From his part, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai affirmed that Thamar University, represented by its Rector, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, is committed to being a leading national model in adhering to the regulations and instructions governing academic work, and to full cooperation with the Ministry in all stages of admissions, registration, and closure for the academic year 1447.
Dr. Al-Rifai also commended the significant role played by the Ministry's Information Technology Center, praising the efforts of the Center's Director and all its staff for the technical and technological support they provided, which contributed to the success of the registration and closure processes in coordination with the University.
