Thamar University Student Affairs Council Discusses Important Student Issues

■ In light of the recommendation of Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, hold regular and periodic student council meetings in colleges and within the Student Affairs Office, the second regular meeting of the Student Affairs Council for the academic year 1447, 2025/2026 was held this morning at the office of the Vice-Rector Student Affairs at Dhamar University.
 
The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Chairman of the Council, and attended by the Vice Deans of Colleges for Student Affairs and Council members. The meeting began with the reading and approval of the minutes of the previous meeting.
 
The Council then discussed several topics on the agenda, including amending the personal data of a number of students who have received legal rulings in this regard.
 
Discussions also included amending the data of students from the Faculties of Medical Sciences, Education, Arts, Dentistry, Administrative Sciences and Engineering.
 
These amendments included students currently enrolled in certain departments, as well as graduates from previous years whose data was subject to administrative or typographical errors or the loss of some documents due to the aggression.
 
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs emphasized the need to expedite the resolution of student cases within the faculties and adjudicate them within the specified legal period.
 
He emphasized that academic grievances, in particular must be resolved within the framework of university regulations within the faculties and that no grievances should be considered after the expiration of the approved legal period.
