Field Monitoring and Strict Arrangements in Preparation for the College of Engineering Admissions and Medical Examinations for New Students in Thamar University

■ As a part of his field monitoring of the progress of the admissions and admissions exams, the Rector of Thamar University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, conducted an inspection tour today, which included the Student Affairs Office.

He met with the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdulkafi Abdulfattah Al-Rifai, in the presence of the General Secretary of the University, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, the General Registrar, and a number of staff from the Office.

The tour reviewed the final arrangements for the launch of the admissions and admissions process at the College of Engineering, scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday. The admissions process will be conducted for students who are enrolled in the general admissions system, based on their academic preferences.

The University Rector expressed his commitment to ensuring that the admissions process is conducted in a fair and competitive environment, reflecting the university's commitment to transparency and equal opportunity. He emphasized that the success of the admissions process represents a true beginning to a distinguished academic journey for students in the College of Engineering.

The tour also included a visit to the General Administration of Medical Clinics, affiliated with the Student Affairs Prosecution. He met with the General Director and its administrative staff and reviewed the progress of the comprehensive examinations undergone by new students.

These examinations include vision tests, screening for infectious diseases and viruses and blood type tests, a step aimed at ensuring the safety of the university community.

Thamar University is the only academic institution that conducts mandatory medical examinations for all new students before enrollment. Those with health problems are referred to Al-Wihdah University Hospital in Maabar, affiliated with Thamar University, where they receive comprehensive care until full recovery.

The University Rector emphasized that these measures reflect Thamar University's philosophy, which is based on integrating academic quality, healthcare and community service. He noted that student safety is the primary pillar of the success of the educational process and that providing a safe and healthy university environment is an integral part of the university's mission.

The tour concluded with the attendance of several Student Affairs leaders and staff, including the General Registrar, Mr. Abdulmalik Al-Mualimi, the General Director of Medical Clinics, Mr. Abdulhamid Al-Nimr, the General Director of Student Activities Ahmed Al-Omari, and several university leaders, including Dr. Essam Wasil, the Head of the Libraries Department, Mr. Mishaal Sharhan, the Assistant General Secretary for Financial Affairs, Mr. Abdulghani Al-Hajjaji, the General Director of Financial Affairs, and Mr. Khaled Al-Ashawi, the General Director of Public Relations.
