■ In a move to confirm Thamar University's readiness for the upcoming academic year, the University's Student Affairs Office held an expanded meeting in implementation of the directives of Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University. This meeting is a part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's plan regarding the proposed academic calendar for the year 1447, 2025/2026.
The meeting chaired by Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, and attended by staff from the Student Affairs Office and the University Registrar, reviewed the administrative and technical preparations for implementing the proposed schedule, particularly with regard to the electronic coordination process for new students via the Higher Education Portal, which includes all university colleges and institutes.
In his speech, Dr. Al-Rifai confirmed that the university has already begun implementing the program on the ground. He explained that electronic coordination for new students is proceeding smoothly, in parallel with the ongoing preparations for those accepted from among the competitors for free seats in the university's colleges and institutes.
The Vice-Rector of the University pointed out that these steps would not have been possible without the continuous and diligent follow-up by the University Rector, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi.
He also emphasized that the university is now fully prepared to begin classes for the first semester of the new academic year in all its colleges, institutes, and centers on the specified date, in accordance with the timetable approved by the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research.
The Student Affairs Office is also preparing to announce the opening of admission tests soon in all majors covered by the admission test. The results of these tests will also be announced after the tests and on the same day, ensuring the smooth and transparent progress of the academic process within approved quality standards.
