Thamar University Participates in Workshop to Approve Bridging System and Holy Quran Competition in Sana'a

■ Within the framework of Thamar University's strategic vision to promote active participation in academic projects and national cultural activities, the University participated today in two prominent events in the Capital, Sana'a.
 
The first was a workshop to approve the bridging system between higher education levels, and the second was a Holy Quran competition for Yemeni university students.
 
This event was held under the direct guidance and sponsorship of Professor Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, who always emphasizes the importance of engaging with initiatives that enhance the university's academic and cultural standing.
 
To enhance its presence in national events sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, the University, represented by Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, participated in the scientific workshop held at the headquarters of the Academic Accreditation Council to discuss and approve the bridging system for undergraduate programs at Yemeni Universities.
 
The workshop was attended by Leaders from the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research and the Academic Accreditation Council, as well as the Vice-Rector of Public and Private Universities, Deans of Community Colleges, and Development and Quality Assurance Center.
 
Discussions focused on the bridging mechanism, its objectives and conditions, while reviewing the academic procedures and references that ensure linking the intermediate diploma level with the bachelor's level according to modern academic standards that contribute to enhancing the quality of higher education in Yemen.
 
In another context, Thamar University excelled in the third Holy Quran Competition for students of Public and Private Universities and community colleges, hosted by September 21 University in the Capital, Sana'a. Twenty-five Public and Private Universities and Colleges participated in the competition, which lasted for five days and included competitions in four categories, memorization and recitation (Tajweed), five parts, ten parts, twenty parts, and the entire Quran. 
 
The University participated in the 30-part memorization competition, Which was attended by Prof. Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, the General Registrar, Mr. Abdulmalik Al-Moalimi, and the General Director of Activities, Mr. Ahmed Al-Omari, along with the university's competitors.
 
This participation is a part of the university's efforts to support student activities and encourage its students to excel in academic, cultural, and religious fields.
 
This reflects its commitment to providing an integrated academic model that combines knowledge with cultural and religious identity.
