Continuation of sports activities at Thamar University as part of the activities of the academic year 1446

■ Within the framework of the continuous support and continuous care for student activities in their various fields, which Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector of the University for Student Affairs, the football league competitions and other sports activities between the university's colleges and institutes continue for the academic year 1446, (2024-2025), and in light of the follow-up of the Director General of Student Activities, Ahmed Al-Amri.
The sports activities held today on the Campus of Thamar University, witnessed a group of exciting and diverse matches that embodied the spirit of sports competition and creativity.
In the football league, the teams of the College of Engineering and the College of Medical Sciences met in an exciting match that ended with a big victory for the College of Engineering team with a score of 1/4, in a match that showed a noticeable superiority for the Engineering team and the loss of the College of Medical Sciences' chances this year after losing by six points to the Colleges of Administrative Sciences and Engineering.
The College of Engineering also returned to achieve another victory in the volleyball competitions, as the College of Medical Sciences team withdrew from the match, which gave the College of Engineering three additional points to enhance its dominance in sports activities, so far.
In the table tennis championship, exciting competitions were held that brought together three colleges, Medicine, Computers and Informatics, and the College of Education which hosted by the workshop hall at the College of Engineering.
This event was characterized by a high sportsmanship and distinguished performance from all participating teams. In the final qualifiers, the College of Computers and Informatics team was able to win the championship title, adding a new achievement to the university's sports activities this year.
