Conclusion of the cultural activities of the short story competition at Thamar University Thamar University Media /Jamal Al-Bahri / Rajab 17, 1445. January 28, 2024 ■ The activities of the short story competition, which is held within the student activities of the Student Affairs Department for the academic year 1445 / 2023-2024 under the auspices of the Rector of Thamar University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, under the title "Al-Aqsa Flood", under the supervision of the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, concluded at the Central Office Hall of Thamar University today. Five winners were selected from among the contestants for this year, according to the evaluation of the jury headed by Associate Professor of Literature, Head of the Department of Libraries, Printing and Publishing at Thamar University, Dr. Essam Wasel, where the contestant from the Faculty of Medicine, Badra Ali said Al-Naqib, topped the first place for her story "Hebrew Summit". In the second place came the student of the Faculty of Arts, Saqr Abu Hassan, for his two stories "shoes", and in the third place, the student Ejlal Abdulwasi Al-Duair won the third place for her story "a flower from among the Ashes". The fourth place was won by student Fatima Abdullah Ali Zaid from the Faculty of Medicine for her story "wilted flowers". The fifth place was taken by a student at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Basma Abdullah Fadl Al-Ansi, for her story "The voice of an old man".
