Inauguration of the Cultural Competition in the field of the Holy Quran at Thamar University Thamar University Media/Jamal Al-Bahri / Rajab 16, 1445. January 27, 2024 ■ Sponsored by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, the Holy Quran Competition was held today at Thamar University which comes within the events of the Al-Aqsa Flood that held by the University. The competition was held in two halls dedicated to males and females from the halls of the Central Library of the University, under the supervision of the Vice-Rector of the University for Student Affairs, with the participation of Mr. Hassan Al-Mawshki, Cultural Affairs Consultant and member of the jury. The female jury consisted of Asma Abdullah Al-Mawshki, a researcher at the Faculty of Education, as well as Asma Yahya Al-Mawshki. At the opening ceremony, the Rector of the University welcomed the participants, considering that the keepers of the book of Allah are the best sons of the University and the community. He praised the efforts of the Student Affairs Department and its committees in the colleges, and praised the judging committees, expressing his thanks for the efforts exerted in selecting the best preservers of the book of Allah Almighty, and the best intonation. Dr. Al-Haifi expressed his wishes that the winners will represent the University with the best representation in the competition sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education in the Capital Sana'a. From his part, the Vice-Rector of the University for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, praised the contestants wishing them success. This important competition comes within the University's efforts to promote Islamic values, deepen religious awareness, promote Quranic culture among male and female students and motivate them to memorize the book of Allah Almighty and to improve it in the best ways, where the memorizers of the book of Allah Almighty at Thamar University have shown a high level of quality and excellence.
