□ Thamar University Media / Rabi Al-Thani 26, 1448. October 7, 2026
■ Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, inspected the warehouses of the General Administration of Laboratories and Workshops to review the inventory of technical equipment, including computers and related supplies, and their recycling. This initiative aims to optimize the use of available resources and address the current needs of several university departments.
The University Rector, accompanied by Professor Dr. Abdulkarim Zabiba, the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, and Dr. Mohammed Hutrum, the General Secretary of the University, reviewed the procedures for inventorying and assessing the condition of the equipment. The equipment is being prepared for reuse after being received from the laboratories of the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics. It is then transferred to specialized workshops for inspection and maintenance before being redistributed according to the actual needs of the university's departments and beneficiary entities.
The inventory and redistribution process aims to optimize the use of available resources and technical assets, and to repurpose usable equipment, thereby enhancing administrative efficiency and supporting departments facing computer equipment shortages.
The inspection was attended by the General Director of Laboratories and Workshops, Mohammed Al-Souswa, the General Director of Internal Audit, Abdulrazzaq Al-Afiri, the General Director of Services, Ali Al-Ranna, and several other university leaders and staff members.
