The Rector of Thamar University and the Head of the General Authority for Antiquities and Museums Discuss Cooperation in Documenting National Heritage and Inspect the University's Regional Museum

■ Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, met today with Mr. Obbad bin Ali Al-Hayal, the Head of the General Authority for Antiquities and Museums. They discussed a number of issues and topics of mutual interest, most notably strengthening scientific and research cooperation in the fields of archaeology, heritage, and the documentation of national history.

The meeting also addressed the importance of the publications of the "Raydan" journal, issued by the General Authority for Antiquities and Museums, and its scientific role in documenting national history and Yemeni civilization, as well as promoting specialized research and studies in the fields of archaeology and heritage.

The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Abdulkarim Zabiba, the Vice-Rector of the University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Adel Abdulghani Al-Ansi, the Vice-Rector of the University for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Hutrum, the General Secretary of the University, Dr. Amin Al-Jabr, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and a number of faculty leaders and members of the Department of Archaeology.

Following the meeting, the University Rector and the Chairman of the General Authority for Antiquities and Museums, accompanied by Mr. Ahmed Ali Al-Dhurani, the Deputy Governor of Thamar, toured Thamar University Regional Museum, located on the university campus. During the tour, they viewed the museum's collection of artifacts and historical and archaeological treasures, emphasizing the importance of preserving them and developing scientific and institutional efforts to serve the national heritage.
