Thamar University Organizes Poetry, Presentation, and Recitation Competition with 40 Students Participating

■ The Student Affairs Office at Thamar University, represented by the General Directorate of Activities, in cooperation with the Student Forum, organized a poetry, presentation, and recitation competition this morning in the Martyr Al-Ghumari Hall at the Central Library. Forty students participated in the competition, which was held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the University Rector.

At the opening of the event, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the University Rector, emphasized the importance of student activities in discovering talents and developing students' creative and cultural abilities. He noted that the university prioritizes cultural and literary activities as a complement to the educational process and a means of refining students' skills and enhancing their presence in various fields.

From his part, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector of the University for Student Affairs, affirmed the university's commitment to student activities aimed at developing students' skills and showcasing their talents, praising the level of participation and engagement in the competition.

The Gener Director of Activities, Ahmed Al-Awmari, also commended the students' participation, appreciating the efforts of the organizing committees and participants, and emphasizing the administration's continued commitment to implementing programs and events that contribute to developing student talents.

The competition was judged by an academic committee comprised of Professor Dr. Abdulkareem Al-Bahla, Dr. Abdullah Asaba, Dr. Essam Wasel, and Dr. Sarah Al-Sanbani. The committee praised the high quality of the entries and the students' demonstrated abilities and skills in poetry, presentation, and recitation.

The event was attended by a number of university leaders and staff members, representatives of the Student Forum, and a group of students and other interested individuals.
