Thamar University Begins Implementing its Annual Internal Audit Plan to Enhance Governance and Institutional Oversight

■ In accordance with the directives of the Rector of Thamar University, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the implementation of the annual internal audit plan for the academic year 1448( 2026/2027 ) approved by the university leadership, commenced today.

This initiative aligns with the university's commitment to strengthening its institutional oversight system, solidifying the principles of transparency and governance, and elevating the level of financial and administrative performance across all university sectors and units.

In this context, the Genetal Secretary of the University, Dr. Mohammed Hutrum, chaired the inaugural meeting this morning to launch the plan's implementation. The meeting was attended by the Generak Director of Internal Audit, Abdulrazzaq Ali Al-Afiri, who also heads the field team responsible for conducting the audit, along with members of the field audit team and several generals directors from various departments within the General Secretariat.

The meeting reviewed the preliminary survey questionnaire and the mechanism for implementing field audits and reviews across the various departments and divisions of the General Secretariat. This is considered the first phase of implementing the comprehensive annual internal audit plan, ensuring that the audit process is conducted according to a structured methodology based on relevant data, documents, and records.
