Thamar University Discusses Committee Reports in Preparation for the 6th International Conference on Modern Smart Technologies and Applications and Opens Registration for Attendees

■ Following the directives of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, to finalize arrangements for the success of the 6th International Conference on Modern Smart Technologies and Applications (eSmarTA-2026), organized by the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics at Thamar University in partnership with Yemen Research Foundation, and scheduled to be held on August 4 and 5, 2026, Professor Dr. Abdulkarim ZAbiba, the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research and Vice Rector of the Conference, chaired a meeting today in the Martyr Al-Ghumari Hall at the Central Library.

The meeting included the Preparatory Committee and its subcommittees to review progress and finalize technical and organizational preparations for the conference.

The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Adel Al-Ansi, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Bashir Al-Maqaleh, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics, Dr. Khaled Al-Husseini, the Consultant of the University Rector for Automation Affairs, the Vice Dean of the Faculty, the heads of the academic departments, the General Secretary of the Faculty, and the heads of the committees and subcommittees.

The executive reports submitted by the committees were reviewed, discussed in detail, and approved after making some necessary amendments to enhance implementation efficiency and ensure the conference's readiness according to the highest organizational standards.

The meeting also discussed the progress made in the technical, scientific, and logistical aspects, the remaining tasks for the next phase, and the coordination mechanisms between the committees to ensure the implementation of the conference's scientific and organizational program according to the approved timeline.

Professor Dr. Abdulkarim Zabiba confirmed that preparations are progressing rapidly, in accordance with the directives of the University Rector. He noted the completion of several organizational arrangements, most notably the opening of registration for those wishing to attend the conference as auditors, via a dedicated online link. He urged researchers, academics, and interested parties to register before Saturday, July 25, 2026, with accepted participants to be notified on July 27, 2026.

He clarified that online registration is limited to on-site attendance, while links for online participation will be announced later, prior to the conference. He emphasized that registration is not for those submitting accepted papers, but rather for those wishing to attend.

The Sixth International Conference on Modern Smart Technologies and Their Applications is an international scientific platform that brings together researchers, academics, and experts to review the latest research and innovations in the fields of artificial intelligence, smart technologies, and their applications. This will enhance scientific exchange, support the research and innovation process, and reaffirm DThamar University's leading position in organizing international scientific events and conferences.
