Thamar University Council holds its third meeting and approves the cooperation agreement with Al-Hudaidah University

■ The third meeting of the Thamar University Council for the academic year 1446. (2025/2024 )was held today at the Headquarters of the Deanship of the College of Medicine, headed by Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, who began the session by reviewing and approving the minutes of the previous meeting. 

 

During the meeting, the Council discussed the topic of approving the cooperation and coordination agreement concluded between Thamar and Hudaidah Universities, on 4/16/1446. (10/19/2024) where the Council approved the agreement, stressing the importance of academic cooperation between the two Government Universities. 

 

The Council also reviewed a number of topics and recommendations submitted by the Second Academic Council which included requests for approval of a number of settlements and scientific leave decisions.

 

In support of postgraduate studies, the Council discussed the recommendations of the Council of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research regarding the request to ratify the final results of master's graduates submitted by the Faculty of Arts.

 

In addition, a number of topics and issues presented by the Student Affairs Council were reviewed in its second meeting and the student proposals submitted were approved, which reflects the Council's interest in raising the level of services provided to students.

 

This meeting comes within the framework of the University Rector's Directives on the necessity of adhering to holding all councils at the University periodically and regularly, including the councils of colleges and scientific departments, as well as the University's continuous efforts to enhance academic cooperation and improve the quality of education and scientific research which contributes to achieving its strategic goals.
