Thamar University Hosts an Awareness Seminar on Early Detection of Breast Cancer

■ On the occasion of the World Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Thamar University, in cooperation with Faz’at Khair Association for Cancer Patient Care and Humanitarian Care, organized an awareness seminar today that focused on the importance of early detection of breast cancer and ways to prevent it. 

 

In the event, which was attended by a number of prominent academic and community figures, the University Rector, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, stressed the importance of this seminar and its effective awareness-raising role, pointing out the need for academic and community institutions to participate in raising awareness and disseminating correct information about breast cancer. 

 

The University Rector also pointed out the importance of raising awareness among University students about the importance of early detection of breast cancer, which contributes to promoting public health and preventing the disease. 

 

From his part, Prof. Abdulkarim Zabiba, the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, pointed out the importance of awareness as a means of protecting society from diseases.

 

While the Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences, Prof. Amal Al-Mujahed, and the Dean of the College of Medical Sciences, Dr. Adel Emran, pointed out the role of education and awareness in promoting health culture among students and society and stressed that early examination can save lives and increase the chances of recovery.

 

From her part, the Rector of Faz’at Khair Association, Nejoud Al-Sanbani, stressed the importance of intensifying efforts this month in order to enhance community awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer.

 

Prof. Amt Al-Khaliq Mahras also presented an awareness presentation on the symptoms of breast cancer and how to perform a self-examination.

 

In The event which was attended by Dr. Hamoud Al-Mawshki, the Chairman of Dhamar General Hospital Authority, Dr. Yasser Al-Hissa, Dr. Yousef Al-Thalah, Dr. Abdullah Al-Ansi, Dr. Amira Al-Dailami, Dr. Naseem Al-Dhurani, Ibtisam Al-Matari, the Head of the Community Committee, Mr. Mohammed Al-Yafai, and Eng. Mohammed Ftsha, The Main Supporter of the symposium, Faz’at Khair Association honored the doctors participating in the symposium.
