The University Council holds its fifth meeting at the Faculty of Medical Sciences and comes up with a number of important decisions Thamar University Media/Jamal Al-Bahri / Rajab 19, 1445. January 30, 2024 ■ The Council of Thamar University held today its fifth periodic meeting for the academic year 1445, (2023-2024) under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University in the building of the Deanship of the Faculty of Medical Sciences on Campus. At the meeting, which began with reviewing the minutes of the previous Council and approving it, the Council reviewed many topics on its agenda, including discussing the recommendation of the fifth Academic Council for the academic year 1445,(2024/2023), on settlements, promotions, canceling full-time and changing the job title of a number of Faculty members and their assistants. The council discussed the recommendation of the Council of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research contained in the minutes of its fifth meeting for the academic year 1445, (2024/2023) on the request for approval of the results of a number of students, approval of the opening of new graduate programs at the Faculty of Medical Sciences for specialties (medical and immunological microbiology, Clinical Biochemistry, Public Health Epidemiology), and approval of the request for approval of the decisions to establish refereed scientific journals. The Council also discussed the recommendations of the Student Affairs Council contained in the minutes of its fifth meeting for the academic year 1445, (2024/2023) regarding the request for approval of a number of its decisions, including the proposal to hold a mass graduation ceremony in October of this year at the Great Prophet Square on Campus, according to the possibilities available to the University and approval of the proposal. At the meeting, the University Council discussed the cooperation and coordination agreement concluded between the Universities of Thamar and Sana'a on Wednesday, Jamad Awal 29 1445.
