The Rector of Thamar University participates in the celebration of the university of 21 September with the graduation of the first batch in Medicine and Surgery Thamar University Media /Jamal Al-Bahri / Rajab 13, 1445. January 25, 2024: ■ Within the framework of fruitful cooperation and communication between Yemeni Universities, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University participated at the graduation ceremony of the first batch at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of 21 September, which was held under the title "Al-Aqsa Flood" in the presence of many prominent figures including member of the Supreme Political Council, Mr. Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, the Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Health and Works, the Governor of Hajjah, and the Heads of many Public and Private Universities. At the graduation ceremony, the graduates were honored with certificates of appreciation after taking the Medical Department. The speakers praised the importance of this event for the University of 21 September, considering that the increase in the number of graduates in Medical specialties will effectively contribute to the strengthening of health care for the community. Dr. Al-Haifi, in a statement to Thamar University Media, pointed out that Yemen is witnessing a remarkable development and increasing interest in the medical aspect, and this development has culminated in the Universities of Thamar, Sana'a, and Science and Technology obtaining local academic accreditation in the field of Medicine and Surgery, which is a first step towards obtaining full international recognition of the Academic Accreditation Program in our country. He added that it is expected that this will contribute to raising the quality of academic education in the medical field throughout the Republic of Yemen which will positively reflect on the general health of the community.
