Thamar University is witnessing a stand of solidarity with the Palestinian people, condemning the Zionist crimes in Ghaza The Media of Thamar University/Jamal Al-Bahri / Rajab 14, 1445. January 24, 2024 ■ Thamar University witnessed today one of the most important stands of solidarity with the Palestinian people, condemning the brutal Zionist crimes in the Ghaza Strip. A number of Faculty members and students participated in it, which confirmed the cohesion to support the Palestinian people in the face of oppression and injustice suffered by them. During the pause, the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, stressed the importance of supporting the Palestinian people and supporting their legitimate rights to liberate their land from occupation and injustice. Dr. Al-Haifi condemned the US-British aggression against the Palestinian people, pointing out that solidarity reflects our authentic belonging to the Islamic nation, and our pure national culture free from the negative Western influence on the culture of many Arab peoples. Dr. Al-Haifi stressed that Thamar University is committed to spreading awareness and expressing its firm position in rejecting the crimes of genocide, displacement and abuse against the Palestinian people. He urged the continuation of awareness-raising work, the boycott of American and Zionist goods . The vigil, which was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, her Deputies, the Dean of the Faculty of Computing, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Rector's Consultant for Cultural and Administrative Affairs, and the Dean of the Quality Center, concluded by affirming the right of the Palestinian people to freedom and justice, through the statement of the vigil presented by Mr. Abdullah Rajeh, the General Secartary of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, in which he stressed the importance of continuing popular, official, political and media activities to stop the criminal aggression against the Palestinian people. The statement condemned the US-British aggression on Yemen and its continued targeting of Yemeni governorates, stressing that this behavior will not go unanswered. The statement affirmed its support for the right of the Yemeni armed forces to target Israeli and American ships and prevent them from crossing through the Red Sea, the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Aden. The statement called on the Yemeni people, the Arab and Islamic peoples to adopt a firm position towards the blockade and the murder practiced by the Zionists against our brothers in Palestine. He called on the free world to continue to boycott American and Israeli goods, and the goods of companies that support Israel.
