The Continuous Institute commemorates the Birth of the Prophet and receives new students Thamar University Media/ Jamal Al-Bahri / Thursday, September 14, 2023 Under the patronage of the Rector of Thamar University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Institute of Continuing Education organized, in the Great Hall of Palestine a large festival on the occasion of the Anniversary of the Birth of the Prophet. At the ceremony, the Vice-Rector of the University for Student Affairs Prof.Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai welcomed the audience and congratulated everyone on the Anniversary of the Prophet's Birth. Dr. Al-Rifai said that we thank God from the Homeland of the Supporters with the love and support of the Messenger of Mercy, and we thank him that we celebrate the Birth of Mustafa and others celebrate Legends, Kings and Christmas, our country celebrates the Birth of mercy dedicated to this nation and our celebration this year will be in the Great Square of Thamar University. He added that my message to others is that we are the ones who celebrate the Prophet, honor and appreciate him, and we have the pride to celebrate his fragrant memory, the memory of the Prophet's Birth was and still will be alive in the minds of great Yemeni people, celebration, joy and notice, pointing out that those who reproach us for celebrating the Prophet's Birth, they are proud to serve their masters in the West, and we are proud to be servants of the master of creation Muhammed, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him . The Dean of the Institute, Dr. Naif Al-Tayar, spoke about the importance of celebrating the Prophet's Birth for the people of Yemen in general, and Thamar University in particular as a University Educational Institution, pointing out that the teachings of the prophet of Islam urge the search for science, thinking and reflection, and this is fully consistent with the role of Higher Education in developing minds and enhancing knowledge and deep understanding of Science and knowledge. He touched upon the values and morals advocated by the Prophet of Mercy, which play an important role in establishing the foundations of peaceful and moral coexistence within Universities and Educational Unstitutions, and the role that Universities can play in spreading and promoting the prophetic teachings. The Dean of the Institute of Continuing Education said that on the occasion of celebrating the Prophet's birthday, we found an opportunity to honor the outstanding students of the Institute who achieved the top three positions in the academic year 2023/2024 from various levels and specialties, and their number has reached 45 male and female students, pointing out that this honor comes in recognition of the great efforts made by these students in order to achieve academic excellence, and they represent a good example to the rest of the students at the Institute, and reflect dedication and diligence in studying. He stressed the importance of honoring distinguished students within the framework of this great religious occasion, where Islamic values are combined with scientific achievements to enhance the positive spirit, to enhance the spirit of excellence and among the students of the Institute. The Chairman of the University Student Forum, Ezz Aldeen Al-Wenani, explained that celebrating the Prophet's Birthday and commemorating our prophet is an opportunity to renew loyalty to the Messenger of Allah, and an opportunity to remind us of his teachings and his great impact, and promotes inspiration, meditation and positive change in our lives. He added that celebrating the Birth of the Prophet can contribute to strengthening love for Islam, its manners and disciplines, and its venerable values, so we must celebrate the birth of the prophet in inspiring and responsible ways, while adhering to his teachings and gift, and use this opportunity to promote the values of Islam. At the end of the event, which was attended by the Rector's Consultant for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Yhya Aldhomrani, the General Secartary of the University, Dr. Mohammad Hutram, the General Secartary the College, the General Director of the Rector's office, and the General Director of the Media, the first three positions at the institute were honored for the academic year 2022 / 2023 with certificates of appreciation.
