Definition: The General Directorate of Media is responsible for planning and implementing Thamar University’s media policies and managing all forms of media content. It ensures the professional and reliable communication of the university’s activities and achievements, serving its educational, research, and community mission.
Tasks and Functions: Preparing and drafting the university’s official news, press releases, and media reports.
Providing media coverage for university events and activities (seminars, conferences, academic events).
Managing the university’s official media platforms (website, social media).
Documenting university activities through photography, video, and media archiving. Coordinating with various media outlets to ensure the university’s presence in the media landscape.
Regulating and unifying media discourse in accordance with university policies and values. Monitoring and analyzing media coverage related to the university and preparing periodic reports for senior management.
