The Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics at Dhamar University Celebrates the Prophet's Birthday, Welcomes New Students, and Honors Top Achievers

■ The Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics at Thamar University celebrated the Prophet's Birthday (Mawlid) for the year 1448 today with a cultural and religious event held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, and in cooperation with the Student Forum. The event was themed around the verse from the Quran, {Mohammed is the Messenger of Allah, and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves} (Quran 48:29), and coincided with welcoming new students and honoring top students for the academic year 1447.

At the event, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday and recalling the noble values ​​and humanitarian and ethical principles embodied in his blessed life. He noted that this occasion serves as an opportunity to draw inspiration from the Prophet's guidance in shaping the character of university students and reinforcing the values ​​of knowledge, ethics, responsibility, and community service.

The Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Professor Dr. Bashir Al-Maqaleh, welcomed the new students, praising the outstanding results achieved by the top students. He affirmed the faculty's commitment to providing a suitable learning environment for students, raising the level of the academic process, and encouraging excellence, distinction, and creativity in the fields of computing and information technology.

The event, held in the Palestine Hall at Thamar University, included a number of cultural, musical, and folkloric performances, as well as traditional dances performed by the Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). These performances embodied the meanings of love and emulation of the Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), adding a festive atmosphere that reflected the significance of this anniversary for the university community.

The event concluded with the honoring of top-achieving students for the academic year 1447, in recognition of their academic efforts and to encourage them to continue their pursuit of excellence and academic achievement, thus contributing to building a generation of specialized talents capable of serving the nation and its development.

The event was attended by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Rector's Assistant for Centers Affairs, Professor Dr. Essam Wasel, the Genetal Secretary of the College, Bandar Al-Duhmli, a number of university and college leaders, members of the academic and administrative staff, and a large group of students.
