■ Thamar University concluded the 6th International Conference on Emerging Smart Technologies and Their Applications (eSmarTA-2026) with an honoring ceremony that reflected the university's culture of loyalty and appreciation towards its partners and supporters in its academic journey.

The ceremony began with the honoring of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, in recognition of his support and patronage of the conference. Professor Dr. Bashir Mohammed Al-Maqaleh, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics, Dr. Qais Al-Nuzaili, the Conference Chair, and Dr. Radwan Shaddad, the Rector of Yemen Research Foundation, the conference's organizing partner, presented him with the conference shield in appreciation of his role in the success of this international scientific event and in enhancing Thamar University's academic standing in organizing specialized scientific conferences.

Following this, the University Rector honored the official figures, academic leaders, sponsors, supporters, keynote speakers, and distinguished researchers in recognition of their contributions to the success of the conference and the achievement of its scientific objectives.

Following this, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the University Rector, honored the partners, sponsors, supporters, and officials who contributed to the success of the conference. Those honored included the conference's patron, Sheikh Mohammed Ahmed Meftah, the Acting Prime Minister, the Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Hassan Abdullah Al-Saadi, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mahdi, the Governor of Dhamar Governorate, Mr. Mohammed Nasser Al-Bukhaiti, the Businessman Mohammed Abdu Dadieh, the Head of Public Mobilization in Dhamar Governorate, Ahmed Hussein Al-Dhurani, the Deputy Governor of Dhamar Governorate, Ahmed Ali Al-Dhurani, and the General Director of the Public Telecommunications Corporation branch in Dhamar Governorate, Engineer Fouad Ahmed Ali Al-Qawas, in appreciation of their support and contributions to the conference's success.

The university leadership also honored the sponsors and supporters, most notably Yemeni-Omani United Telecommunications Company (YOU), the official sponsor of the conference, and the Public Telecommunications Corporation, the diamond sponsor. Yemen Mobile, TeleYemen, and the Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank (CAC Bank) were also recognized for their contributions to the conference's success and for strengthening the partnership between Thamar University and state institutions and the private sector in serving scientific research and innovation.

The ceremony also honored the conference's keynote speakers, Engineer Mishal Ali Thabit and Dr. Sharaf Abdulhaq Al-Hamdi, in appreciation of their insightful presentations and specialized papers that enriched the conference's scientific program and opened new avenues for discussion on the latest trends in smart technologies, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation.

In celebration of research excellence, the organizing committee honored the researchers whose papers were the best, distinguished by their quality and originality, and which passed rigorous peer review according to international standards. These papers addressed advanced topics in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, the Internet of Things, computer vision, and software engineering, reflecting the high scientific level of the conference and solidifying its position as an international platform for knowledge exchange and the promotion of innovation.

The ceremony also recognized Professor Dr. Bashir Mohammed Al-Maqaleh, the Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Informatics, for his leadership and oversight of the conference. Dr. Radwan Shaddad, the Rector of Yemen Research Foundation, was also honored for the foundation's role as the organizing partner and its active contributions to the preparation, coordination, and organization, which resulted in a distinguished scientific and organizational outcome.
