■ Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, affirmed that the university's hosting of the 6th International Conference on Emerging Smart Technologies and their Applications (eSmarTA-2026) is an extension of its scientific journey and academic mission to support scientific research and innovation, and to solidify its role as a leading center of knowledge that nurtures scientific talent and keeps pace with rapid technological advancements.
This came during his speech at the opening of the 6th International Conference on Emerging Smart Technologies and their Applications, organized by the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics at Thamar University from August 4-5, 2026, with broad participation from researchers, academics, and experts from within Yemen and abroad.
The Unversity Rector welcomed the participants, researchers, and guests, expressing his pride in hosting this distinguished scientific event at Thamar University. He affirmed the university's commitment to its scientific and national mission, and to fostering a conducive environment for research and innovation, thereby contributing to building a technological future that serves society and development.
Dr. Al-Haifi commended the significant efforts of the scientific and organizing committees and all university staff in preparing for this event. He also expressed his appreciation for the partners and supporters who contributed to the conference's success, particularly Yemen Mobile, the Public Telecommunications Corporation, and Yemen Telecom, as well as the organizing partner, Yemen Research, for their support, which reflects their commitment to promoting scientific research and technological development.
The University Rector noted that the conference represents an important opportunity for researchers to exchange experiences and knowledge, and to open new horizons for scientific collaboration.
