Launch of competitive exams at the College of Computer Science and Inspection of Electronic Correction at the Student Affairs Office in Thamar University

■ In a highly organized atmosphere, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, launched the competitive and admission exams for those registered in the (General System) program at the College of Computer Science and Informatics.

He was accompanied by his Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Bashir Al-Maqalih, and a number of university leaders.

The Rector of the University inspected the progress of the exams in the ten halls distributed across three examination centers, which were designated to receive 851 applicants competing for 140 seats in the computer science and information technology specializations.

At the inauguration, which was attended by the University Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Adel Al-Ansi, his Assistant, Dr. Bashir Zendal, the College's Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Husseini, the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, Dr. Adnan Makrad, the University Registrar, Abdulmalik Al-Muallimi, and the General Secretary of the College of Computing, Bandar Ahmed Al-Duhmali, the University Rector expressed his satisfaction with the level of organization and discipline.

He also praised the efforts of the Vice-Rector of Student Affairs and the College Deanship in providing a distinguished testing experience that reflects the development of academic and administrative performance at the University.

At the inauguration, the University Rector provided the students taking the exams with important advice and guidance regarding the exams and the privacy of electronic tests. He urged them to persevere and work hard, emphasizing the University's commitment to equal opportunity and transparent procedures, which enhances confidence in the University's academic system.

Following the end of the examination round, the University Rector made an inspection visit to the Student Affairs Office.

He was accompanied by Dr. Essam Wasil, the Head of the Libraries, Printing and Publishing Department, Dr. Salah Al-Qawsi, the Vice Dean of Continuing Education, Mr. Mishaal Sharhan, the Assistant General Secretary for Financial Affairs, and Abdulghani Al-Hajjaji, the General Director of Financial Affairs at the University. The visit focused on reviewing the progress of data entry and the immediate electronic correction of applicants' answers.

During the visit, the University Rector listened to a detailed explanation from his Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and the Registrar regarding the electronic payment procedures, the issuance of electronic cards to students who had completed their registration procedures, the correction mechanisms and the plans for intensive preparation for the competitive and admission tests in the remaining faculties and majors at the University during the coming week.

They also reviewed the coordination and continuous registration procedures for majors not covered by the direct competitive tests.
