Thamar University Confirms the Readiness of the Cybersecurity Department at the College of Computer Science and Informatics

■ As a part of Thamar University's preparations for the start of the new academic year 1447, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, conducted a field visit this morning to the College of Computer Science and Informatics, one of the university's most prominent academic institutions.
He also was briefed on the college's readiness and preparations for the upcoming academic year.
The University Rector was received by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Bashir Al-Maqaleh, who provided a comprehensive explanation of the ongoing preparations at all levels, both administrative and academic, affirming the college's readiness to begin the new academic year according to the highest possible standards.
During the visit, Dr. Al-Maqaleh announced the completion of technical and academic preparations for the opening of the Cybersecurity Department, which will officially commence operations at the start of the new year.
This new department will be a qualitative and important addition to the College of Computer Science departments. The launch of this department comes in response to the growing demand in the labor market for this vital specialization, given the increasing digital challenges facing institutions in various sectors.
In his remarks, the University Rector praised the College's academic staff, noting that the College includes a distinguished group of professors of computer science, informatics and cybersecurity, who received their education at the world's most prestigious universities and have earned advanced degrees and prestigious academic medals.
This ensures the quality of education and enhances student and community confidence in the programs offered.
During the visit, the University Rector was accompanied by Mr. Jamal Al-Bahri, the Head of the University's Media Department.
The visit was also attended by the General Secretary of the College, Mr. Bandar Al-Duhmoli, and Engineer Ahmed Rubaid, the Secretary of the Computer Center, as well as a number of academic and administrative leaders at the College.
