Meeting of the Higher Committee for Scientific Research at Thamar University Thamar University Media/Saqr Abu Hassan / Shaaban 22, 1445. March 3, 2024 ■ Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, held today a meeting of the Higher Committee for Scientific Research at Thamar University at the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. The meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Abdulkarim Ismail Zabibah, the Vice-Rector of the University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, to discuss the establishment of scientific research units at the Faculty level, start working on the research map of the University and discuss work on resuming the publication of the University Journal for Humanitarian Studies and Research. The meeting also discussed the presentation of the internal system of refereed scientific journals and the importance of working on it and the meeting agreed on the need to prepare reports on the current status of research centers, including submitting proposals for development and improvement. The meeting stressed the need to establish the Journal of the Center for Quality and Academic Accreditation and to determine a scientific day at the University, Colleges and Departments to honor the outstanding in scientific production and research. Committees were also formed from the lists of the Higher Committee for scientific research, specializing in the ethics of scientific research, a committee to evaluate scientific journals, as well as a committee to evaluate the scientific production of faculty members, and a committee specialized in evaluating scientific research centers at the University.
