■ Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, and his Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. AbdulKafi Al-Rifai, and the General Secretary of the University, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, launched today the final exams for the first semester in 9 of the examination halls at the College of Medical Sciences at Thamar University, where they were received by the Dean of the College, Dr. Adel Emran, and his Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Sam Daoba, and the General Secretary of the College, in addition to a number of members of the academic and administrative bodies in the college.
 
During the inauguration, the University Rector praised the degree of regularity and commitment of nearly a thousand college students and congratulated them on the academic achievements of their college, the latest of which was the description of a number of postgraduate programs in several specializations. 
 
He also praised the achievements of college students in student activities and excellence in the cultural and sports fields, and called on them to increase their enthusiasm and achieve more achievements in various activities in all fields. 
 
Dr. Al-Haifi also stressed the need for college students to be distinguished on the scientific and academic level, especially since they are studying in one of the most important medical specializations, which is a new specialization that has been introduced to the field of teaching medical sciences and health sciences in Yemen.
 
He pointed out that the College of Medical Sciences is one of the first colleges specialized in this vital field that includes widely spread intermediate medical fields, with exceptional and distinguished opportunities, and is the most in demand in the labor market among other medical specializations in Yemen and the region. 
 
He also called on students to commit to strengthening their faith identity and university dress, and stressed the importance of wearing the distinctive white uniform from the moment they enter the University gate until they leave and not limiting their wearing to halls and laboratories only. 
 
Dr. Al-Haifi also called on University students to interact positively with the issues of the nation and to participate effectively in the stands, marches and events supporting the Palestinian cause, the first and central issue of Arabs and Muslims.
