The Rector of the University inaugurates the Hall of Medical Sciences at Alwihdah University Educational Hospital in Maabar

■  Under the slogan" The Flood of Al-Aqsa", the Rector of Thamar University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, opened today the Hall of Medical Sciences at Alwihdah university Educational Hospital in Maabar.

At the opening, the Rector of the University praised the efforts of the Faculty of Medical Sciences which is expanding in the field of equipment and teaching, considering the opening of this hall an important addition to the Faculty of Medical Sciences.

He pointed out that the College's outputs are the link between the exact medical specialties and the patient and are an essential tributary of the national medical sector with qualitative specialized competencies.

From his part, Dr. Adel Emran, the Dean of the College of Medical Sciences, confirmed that the opening of this hall and its equipment is self-funded by the college, despite its limited capabilities.

He pointed out that the opening of the hall comes within the framework of joint cooperation between the College and the Administration of the University Teaching Hospital in Maabar.

Dr. Emran expressed his gratitude to the Rector of the University for the patronage of the Faculty of Medical Sciences and thanked the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and the General Director of Alwihda University Educational Hospital for their permanent cooperation with the Faculty of Medical Sciences.

It is worth mentioning that the Faculty of Medical Sciences is one of the latest Faculties that was opened at Thamar University after it was within the specialties of the Faculty of Medicine, and it was recently reopened as an independent Faculty due to the importance of the exact scientific disciplines that it teaches.

The opening was attended by the Vice-Rectors of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Abdulkarim Zabibah, and Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Adel Abdulghani Al-Ansi, and the General Secretary of the University Dr. Mohammed Hutram.
