■ During his visit to the Faculty of Dentistry, the Rector of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, held an expanded meeting today in the presence of Professor Dr. Abdulkarim Zabiba, the Vice-Rector of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Adel Abdulghani Al-Ansi, the Vice-Rector of the University for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector of the University for Student Affairs, and Dr. Mohammed Hutram, the General Secretary of the University, with Dr. Nashwan Al-Tayri, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry. 
 
The meeting discussed a number of important issues in the college,and the Dean of the College presented to the University Leadership a number of topics that the college needs, the difficulties facing their implementation, and the possibility of overcoming these difficulties. He also reviewed a number of projects and expansions that have been completed.
 
Then the University Rector and his companions inspected the dental hospital and the college's postgraduate facilities and opened the building that was finished and equipped for postgraduate students' applications and research.
 
The discussion hall was furnished and equipped with 80 seats, a number of educational and illustrative tools and modern display tools, the clinical application clinic was equipped with 15 chairs with their bases, a number of modern medical and educational equipment, as well as the application laboratory equipped with 12 applied artificial heads dedicated to conducting medical experiments and equipped with the latest educational tools and medical equipment dedicated to postgraduate students at the college with self-financing amounting to 36 million riyals.
 
The University Rector pointed out that the University leadership and the college leadership give special priority to the process of updating, developing and simplifying procedures, and updating services at the College of Dentistry, as they aim to achieve such updates and improvements, including the opening of new halls and laboratories with self-financing.  Despite the difficult circumstances and weak capabilities, the University and the College of Dentistry have been frugal in their expenses in order to provide for the needs of the college in light of the siege and the lack of a development budget and local community contributions.
 
The University Rector also directed that the University's share for this year and previous years be allocated, despite its importance and dire need to remain in the college for the purpose of financing improvement, development and expansion projects.
 
The opening was attended by Prof. Abdullah Ghaleb Emran, Dr. Essam Wasil, the Head of the Department of Libraries, Printing and Publishing, Mr. Hisham Al-Mahdi, the General Secretary of the College, and the General Directors of Financial Affairs, Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research at the University.
