■ The Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Thamar University, in cooperation with the Student Forum, held a cultural and religious event in the Palestine Conference Hall, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, to celebrate the Prophet's birthday (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), under the slogan: { محمد رسول اللّه والذين معه اشداء على الكفار، رحماء بينهم}, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University.
The event included honoring top-achieving students for the academic year 1447 and welcoming new students for the academic year 1448, in the presence of several college leaders, faculty members, administrative staff, and students.
In his address, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the University Rector, congratulated the outstanding students, emphasizing that honoring them on this auspicious occasion celebrates their success and excellence. He added that it is also an opportunity to reflect upon and emulate the noble character of the Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), making this occasion an annual milestone for celebrating excellence and academic achievement.
The University Rector also addressed the importance of the academic disciplines offered by the College of Administrative Sciences and its role in preparing qualified professionals in the fields of management and economics. He stressed the importance of continuing academic pursuits and capacity building, and emphasized the significance of active participation in the central event commemorating the Prophet's birthday in the Prophet's Square on the university campus.
From her part, Professor Dr. Amal Al-Mujahid, the Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences, delivered a welcoming address, emphasizing the importance of the event in promoting faith-based and cultural values, celebrating outstanding and distinguished students, and encouraging them to continue their success and excellence.
Dr. Mishal Al-Rifi, representative of the Presidential Committee overseeing the organization of the Prophet's Birthday celebrations, stressed the importance of the field of Administrative Sciences as a vital and essential specialization in various sectors of work. He explained that limited economic resources require management, organization, and efficient utilization to achieve development and optimal benefit.
He pointed out that institutions in various countries around the world give great attention to management specializations due to their role in preparing qualified personnel capable of achieving success in various fields. He called on the college's students to recognize the importance of their specialization and to take advantage of their university years as a period of preparation and building for their professional and career future.
He explained that university education depends to a large extent on the student's effort and ambition, and that the complexities and challenges of professional life require the acquisition of advanced mental and administrative skills, which must be developed during university studies, and keeping abreast of the latest developments in their fields of specialization.
Dr. Al-Rifi praised the efforts of the leadership of Thamar University, its faculty members, and administrative staff in continuing and facilitating the educational process under the exceptional circumstances the country is experiencing. He commended the outstanding students who demonstrated their success despite these challenges.
He emphasized that commemorating the Prophet's birthday is a religious occasion uniting the Muslim Ummah, and not a partisan or political event. He praised the efforts of the college and the university in preparing for participation in the central event and invited students and faculty members to attend and actively participate.
The event included recitations, cultural performances, and folkloric segments presented by the Prophet Mohammed Ensemble, as well as the honoring of outstanding and distinguished students from various disciplines and academic levels.
The event was attended by Dr. Hussein Al-Manjar, the Vice Dean of the College for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mujahid, the Vice Dean of the College for Student Affairs, Abdullah Rajih, the General Secretary of the College, and a number of faculty members, administrative staff, and students.
