Thamar University Launches Interview and Exchange procedures for Graduate Programs at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences Thamar University Media/ Jamal Al-Bahri / Shaaban 5, 1445. February 15, 2024 ◾ With the initiative and active care of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, the interview and selection procedures for applicants for graduate programs at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences at the University were launched today. This includes Doctoral Programs in Business Administration, Finance and Banking Sciences, Executive Doctorate in Public Administration, as well as Master's Programs in various Financial, Managerial Disciplines. During the opening of this important event, Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi welcomed the attendees and congratulated the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Prof. Dr. Al-Mujahid hopes for this achievement, an important step in strengthening the base of academic and executive expertise in the fields of Management and Economics. He thanked the Vice-Deans, the Heads of Departments, and Faculty Members for their tremendous efforts in the success of the College and its Educational Programs, and also wished success to the applicants. At the inaugural event, which was attended by Prof. Dr. Adel Abdulghani Al-Ansi, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs. In her keynote speech, Dr. Al-Mujahid expressed her thanks to the Rector of the University for his interest in the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Graduate Studies Programs, and his attendance at this important event to conduct interviews and trade-offs. She praised the efforts of the Faculty members, expressing her full confidence in their efforts and their high reward for their valuable contributions. From his part, Dr. Abdullah Al-Qurashi, the Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs, pointed out that the new programs represent a very important addition in the field of Administration and Banking, and that they will benefit the Republic of Yemen, as they will provide it with distinguished human resources, capable of leading the Country to successand solving its chronic financial and administrative problems that burden it. From his part, Dr. Tawfeeq Al-Sanbani, the Vice-Dean of the College for Graduate Studies, expressed his belief that these programs are necessary and that the time has come to launch them, especially after the success of the College in its previous programs in the field of Management and Local Development. From his part, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mujahid, the Vice-Dean of the College for Student Affairs, pointed out the importance of qualifying students with higher certificates inside the Country which avoids the hardship of travel and expatriation in various countries of the world. He stressed that with the presence of national cadres and capabilities, qualifying students locally is the best option to develop skills and ensure the availability of competencies in the Country. Dr. Amer Al-Sanbani, the Head of Business Administration Department at the College, expressed his belief that the College has made great progress in qualifying researchers in the field of Business Administration, as many students graduated with a master's degree in Business Administration, and it became necessary to open opportunities for qualifying researchers and training them to obtain an academic doctorate degree, in addition to the executive program in Business Administration and Local Development. Dr. Abdulfattah Dhabaan, acting as the Head of the Department of Finance and Banking Sciences, added that the department was able to characterize the doctoral program in Finance and Banking Sciences in accordance with international standards of academic accreditation and quality assurance. He stressed that this program is the first of its kind in Yemen at the level of Colleges, Public and Private Universities, pointing out that the department contains a selection of the most important and prominent professors of Economics, Finance and Banking Sciences in Yemen. The inauguration ceremony and interviews were attended by the General Secretary of the University, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, and a selection of Scientists of Financial and Banking Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, and Accounting at Thamar University, including Dr. Mohammed Al-Rafeeq, Dr. Ali Al-Alaki, Dr. Mohammed Al-Makardi, Dr. Abdullah Al-Qurashi, Dr. Majid Mabkhout, Dr. Yahya Ghasham, the General Secartary of the College, the Directors of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Media, Cultural Relations, and a selection of University Leaders, Academics, and Researchers. https://www.tu.edu.ye/faculty/view/fas/2362/2660
