Gaza Lives Under the Rubble, A Profound Play Delivers a Powerful Message from Thamar University on the Occasion of the Prophet's Birthday

■ In a faith-based and cultural atmosphere filled with national, patriotic and humanitarian spirit and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, the College of Education at Thamar University commemorated the Prophet's birthday for the year 1447 by organizing a moving play entitled "Gaza Lives Under the Rubble."
 
The play was performed by students of English Department, this morning, Sunday, in May 22 Hall, amidst a large academic, administrative and student presence.
 
This event coincided with our people's celebration of the Prophet's birthday and was under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Ahmed Mussad Al-Hadi, who thanked the University Rector for his continued support and follow-up of the college and its activities.
 
He also praised the leadership of English Department and the creative students who accomplished this wonderful humanitarian work.
 
The play was also attended by the Dean's deputies for Academic Affairs, Prof. Hamoud Al-Mulaiki, and Student Affairs, Dr. Ali Quradha, the Director of the University's Language Center, Dr. Amin Al-Jamal, and the College's General Secretary, Dawla Al-Emdi, a number of faculty members, administrative staff and students.
 
The play, which reflected the suffering and steadfastness of Palestinian people under the yoke of aggression and siege, embodied moving heroic images that linked the spirit of this blessed religious occasion with the nation's duty toward Palestinian cause.
 
Through this groundbreaking work, Thamar University affirmed that true resistance stems from the awareness of peoples and their patience in the face of challenges.
 
The event was met with a great interaction from the audience, who praised the distinguished theatrical performance and the profound message conveyed by the performances in highlighting the suffering of Gaza under the rubble and Palestinians' insistence on upholding their legitimate right to freedom and dignity.
 
The event organizers believed that this cultural initiative aligns with Thamar University's mission to connect educational activities with the humanitarian and political reality and to promote the values of solidarity with the nation's issues, foremost among them Palestinian cause.
