The College of Education at Thamar University Held an Extraordinary Meeting to Discuss the Implementation of Unified Study Plans

■ The Council of the College of Education at Thamar University held an extraordinary meeting this morning, chaired by Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University.
The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Adel Al-Ansi, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and the Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance; Dr. Ahmed Masoud Al-Hadi, the Dean of the College and Chairman of the Council, his deputies Prof. Hamoud Al-Mulaiki, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ali Qaradha, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Amin Al-Jamal, the Director of the Language Center, Mr. Nasser Najad, the General Secretary of the Academic Development Center, and Dawla Al-Emdi, the General Secretary of the College.
The meeting also included members of the Council and members of the committee responsible for preparing and implementing unified study plans.
At the meeting, the Council discussed Ministerial Circular No. 500 of 1447 regarding the unification of study plans in academic programs at Yemeni public and private universities.
The meeting approved the implementation of the circular regarding the curriculums in the College of Education, starting with the academic year 1447 (2025/2026 AD) for programs with updated curriculums. The remaining departments will continue to operate according to the current plans until the required amendments are completed.
The Council approved executive mechanisms to ensure the preparation of curriculums for the first levels in accordance with the new plans. The meeting approved the formation of a special committee to monitor the implementation process and overcome any difficulties that may arise in unifying the curriculums. The meeting also mandated that departments submit periodic reports on their progress.
The meeting concluded by emphasizing that this step represents an important milestone in the development of academic programs and enhancing the quality of university education in line with the requirements of the current stage and the direction of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research.
