Thamar University Discusses Graduation Projects of 450 Students at the Institute of Continuing Education's Scientific Week

■ In its scientific activity, which culminated in a large academic presence, Thamar University Institute of Continuing Education today launched the Scientific Week to discuss graduation projects for the academic year 2024-2025, for the departments of Pharmacy, Laboratories, Radiology and Physician Assistant.

The event took place in the Great Hall of Sciences at the College of Applied Sciences, in the presence of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, a number of his deputies, Institute leaders, and faculty members.

Approximately 450 students from various disciplines presented their graduation projects in a serious academic atmosphere, reflecting the academic efforts exerted throughout the year and the outstanding practical level achieved by the Institute's students. Attendees praised the field visions and qualitative approaches the projects contained.

The event was attended by Professor Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Bashir Zendal, the Assistant Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, the Dean of the Institute, Professor Nabil Ali Al-Mikhlafi, and members of the discussion committees, including the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Washali, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Salah Al-Qawsi, and Dr. Bushra Al-Khawlani.

In his introductory remarks, the University Rector expressed his happiness with the outstanding performance of the Institute's students, praising the collective efforts of the Institute's administration and academic staff. He congratulated the graduates on reaching this pivotal stage which represents the fruit of their academic struggle.

He also urged the graduates to represent Thamar University in their professional lives and to continue their academic journey by enrolling in continuing education and qualification programs. He emphasized that the University's doors will remain open to them and that it is proud of their affiliation with it.

From his part, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs emphasized that the university places special emphasis on facilitating procedures for students and graduates. He noted that the university offers academic bridging opportunities in colleges similar to those in medical specialties, in accordance with applicable regulations, opening up broader horizons for graduates.

Dr. Bashir Zendal, in his intervention highlighted the importance of graduates remaining within their specialized path, warning that engaging in work unrelated to their specialization is a waste of energy and knowledge. He called for adopting the concept of leadership and continuity in the scientific field to which the student has worked hard and dedicated years of his life.

The discussion was attended by Dr. Mohammed Hutram, the General Secretary of the University, Mr. Fahmi Al-Shami, the General Secretary of the Institute, and a number of academic and administrative leaders at the university.
