Discussion of Enhancing Academic Performance at the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at Thamar University

■ Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, chaired a meeting today and discussed a number of topics related to developing academic performance and the quality of the educational process at the College of Agriculture, which reflects on improving the quality of education, developing academic programs, meeting the needs of society, and enhancing the role of the college in enriching the agricultural and veterinary sector in the country.
In the meeting, which was attended by the General Secretary of the University, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, and the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Abdulghani Al-Yahiri, the Rector of the University stressed the need to advance the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine in line with the directions of the political leadership and the programs of the Supreme Agricultural Committee.
Dr. Al-Haifi pointed out that the college has a strong infrastructure and a qualified teaching staff, but it needs to provide multiple sources of funding to ensure the achievement of the desired goals in the next stage.
From his part, the Dean of the College pointed out a number of difficulties facing the college, in addition to proposals to overcome these challenges under the current circumstances.
The meeting was also attended by the Vice-Dean of the College of Agriculture for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Obbad, and a faculty members at the college, Dr. Mohammed Al-Muayyad.
