November 18, 2023 ■ The Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at Thamar University in cooperation with the University Student Forum organized today a cultural and rhetorical event on the importance of the question of Palestine to the Yemeni people and the Islamic nation. At the event, Prof. Dr. Adel Al-Ansi, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, praised the efforts of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine Leadership and thanked them for the good preparation and organization of the important cultural event in support of Palestine and its Just Cause. He added that Israel poses a real danger to the nation, as it is an entity that has no limits to its ambitions and no geographical borders that limit its ambitions, as the Zionist mentality seeks to occupy many Arab countries and their Holy Lands. Dr. Al-Ansi stressed the need for everyone to carry out their tasks faithfully in their field of specialization and field of work, as the battle with Zionism is a fateful battle that requires full preparation, providing reasons for steadfastness, and self-sufficiency, especially in the agricultural and livestock fields. In his speech, Dr. Abdulghani Al-Yahiri, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, welcomed the presence of the guests of the Faculty, its staff, and students and pointed out the importance of reviving the issue of Palestine, the central issue of Arabs and Muslims, and Dr. Al-Yahiri condemned the double standards of the forces of global arrogance through manipulating what they call human rights standards, where they kill the Muslim man in Palestine, occupy his land in the name of human rights, and insult the dignity of humanity with flimsy and inhuman justifications. From his part, Mr. Jamal Al-Bahri, the General Director of Media at the University pointed out, however that Western leaders look down on human beings, especially our Islamic societies, treating them as consumers of their products and as objects of interest such as food and medicine without regard to their desires for education and innovation, their human needs and their feelings of faith. He pointed out the importance of the economic boycott and its impact on decision-makers in Western societies, pointing out that big companies are the ones who control Western political decisions, and that they will move to dissuade extremists and extremists in Western governments if they feel that their financial and economic interests are threatened by the economic boycott. The event concluded with a keynote speech by the University Rector's Consultant for Cultural Affairs, Mr. Hassan Al-Mawshki, in which he spoke about the Quranic verses in which Allah explained who the enemies are, the danger that threatens humanity, and life from the tyranny of the unscrupulous Jewish mentality, that mentality even assaulted the prophets of Allah and offended Allah, and called Him that his hand was tied, their hands were wrapped, and cursed what they said. He added that in our reality, we see their hostility, their immorality in Palestine, their corruption in the land, and their corruption of humanity by promoting deviation. Al-Mawshki pointed out that Yemeni people are the ones who volunteered to carry the message and the responsibility in defending the religion of Allah, the nation, and the Holy Places, and pointed out that Yemeni people are United (and on the heart of one man) with Palestine and the issues of the Islamic nation in general, pointing out that Yemenis prepared, spent for the sake of Allah and gave their lives to the victory of the religion of Allah, and today they were able to make rockets and planes to throw enemies of Allah and their enemies more than two thousand kilometers away. The event was attended by Dr. Ahmed Al-Khader, the Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ali Hunaish, the Head of the Veterinary Department, Dr. Ali Abbas Al-Arami, Mr. Khaled Al-Eshawi, the General Director of Public Relations, Mr. Mohammed Yahya Amer, the General Secartary of the College, and a large gathering of students of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine.
