Thamar University Discusses Innovative and Qualitative Projects for the Second Batch of Mechatronics Department Students

■ Palestine Hall at Thamar University hosted a discussion of the graduation projects of the second batch of the Mechatronics Department at the College of Engineering. The event was held under the patronage and attendance of Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, and Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs. The event was held in a festive and scientific atmosphere that reflected the spirit of innovation and academic excellence.

The University Rector began his speech by praising the innovative projects and remarkable scientific achievements presented by the department's students. He noted the unique ideas, technical innovations and development of global models within these projects. Some projects also relied on reverse engineering techniques to localize vital solutions of great benefit to the Republic of Yemen, especially in light of the exceptional circumstances the country is experiencing.

From his part, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Fouad Al-Jarmouzi, welcomed the attendees and congratulated the 35 students. He also commended the quality projects they presented, which reflected their scientific and practical skills and the achievements they had gained during their studies.

The event was attended by Dr. Mohammed Hutram, the General Secretary of the University, Dr. Abdullah Abbas, the Vice Dean of the College for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Rashid Al-Sanafi, the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies.

Professor Dr. Bashir Al-Maqalih, the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Informatics, Dr. Khaled Al-Hussaini, the Vice Dean of the College of Computer Science and Informatics, and Engineer Mohammed Al-Medwahi, the Head of the Mechatronics Department also participated in the discussion and judging committee. The committee members provided constructive comments and clear praise for the high academic level reflected in the quality of the projects.

It's worth noting that the discussion of the students' projects, which totaled 35 students, who submitted 11 unique projects, will continue over two days with hundreds of interested parties and parents in attendance. The goal is to provide an opportunity for accurate evaluations and targeted guidance from the discussion and judging committee, contributing to the development of the students' capabilities and enhancing their future practical vision.
