■ Thamar University has achieved a new global academic achievement by being listed among the top 100 universities in the world in the Inspirelli Awards.
The INSPIRELI Awards is one of the most prominent international rankings in the field of architecture, organized by the Technical University of Prague (CTU) in the Czech Republic. It is considered as one of the largest global platforms for supporting student innovation and creativity in the fields of architecture, design, and engineering.
This distinction is the culmination of the efforts of the Department of Architecture at the College of Engineering at Thamar University, whose students have actively participated in the competition over the past years, presenting distinguished architectural projects that have won the admiration of international judging panels.
In a statement, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, expressed his pride in this achievement, which reflects the academic and skill proficiency of the students. It also demonstrates the remarkable development the university is witnessing despite the challenges.
Dr. Al-Haifi also considered Thamar University's inclusion in this global ranking a testament to the efforts of its leadership, academic, administrative and student cadres, who are distinguished by their creativity and excellence.
The University Rector also indicated that the university will continue to support its students' participation in international forums, thus enhancing its regional and global standing.
From his part, Professor Ahmed Yafa'a, the Head of the Department of Architecture and the Dean of Faculty Members and Assistants at Thamar University, expressed his happiness with this international recognition, stressing that what was achieved is the result of tireless work and a clear academic vision.
He expressed his pride in the outstanding achievements of architecture students in major international competitions such as INSPIRELI. He also considered this classification as an additional incentive to exert further efforts in classifying and developing curricula and improving the quality of engineering education at the university.
The university received an official letter from the competition administration containing congratulations and notification of the delivery of an official classification certificate to the university, commemorating its outstanding academic achievement by achieving first place in Yemen in the field of architecture, twelfth place in the Arab world, and 67th place globally, among 100 top universities in the field of architecture.
The INSPIRELI Awards is one of the most important international initiatives dedicated to nurturing young talent in the field of architecture, allowing students from various universities around the world to present their projects to an elite group of experts and International professionals.
This achievement is a milestone in Thamar University's journey and reflects its determination to remain at the forefront of higher education institutions, both in the Republic of Yemen and Regionally.
