Thamar University conducts a competitive examination to select assistant faculty members at the College of Engineering

■ Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, supervised today the competitive examination to select assistant faculty members with the rank of "Teaching Assistant" at the College of Engineering, in the presence of 27 applicants for 20 job positions in the departments of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
The competitive examination process was divided into two specialized committees, the first of which was allocated to interviewing competitors for the positions allocated to the Civil Engineering Department, in which the Vice-Rector of the University for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Fouad Al-Jarmouzi, his Deputy for Academic Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Abbas, and the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, Dr. Rashid Al-Sanfi participated, in addition to the rest of the committee members.
The second committee was dedicated to interviewing applicants for the positions allocated to the Department of Architecture where the Vice-Rector of the University for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Adel Al-Ansi, the Vice Dean of the College for Student Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Shraim, the Head of the Department of Architecture, Dr. Ahmed Yafaa, and the rest of the committee members participated in this committee.
The competitive exam was attended by the General Secretary of the University, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, the General Secretary of the College of Engineering, Ali Al-Dhumrani, and a number of university leaders.
These competitive procedures confirm the commitment of Thamar University to developing its academic cadres and choosing the best with transparency to enhance the role of the College of Engineering in preparing qualified engineers to build the future of the nation.
