■ Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, inspected the development projects at the Faculty of Arts today. This visit was part of his tour of the faculty, during which he met with the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Amin Al-Jabr, and his deputy for academic affairs, Dr. Aziz Al-Aqra.
He reviewed the progress of infrastructure improvement projects and the development of lecture halls, including the installation of modern technologies aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the educational process. During the visit, the University Rector directed that the two auditoriums of the Faculty of Arts be designated as the main venues for academic, cultural, and social events, including graduation ceremonies. This decision was based on their seating capacity of approximately seven hundred and their equipping with simultaneous display screens, allowing for unified event management across both auditoriums.
The University Rector, accompanied by the University Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, discussed several issues related to the college's development with the college dean and his deputy for academic affairs. These included strengthening academic and administrative aspects, improving educational programs, and organizing scientific activities to enhance university performance and improve student services.
The visit was also attended by the head of the library department, Dr. Essam Wasel, and several academic and administrative leaders from the university and the college. They presented the University Rector with an overview of completed modernization projects, as well as the needs and requirements for completing future development phases, in line with Thamar University's commitment to improving infrastructure and enhancing the university learning environment.
