Academic workshop to discuss the development of a number of doctoral programs at the Faculty of Arts, Thamar University

■ Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance, in cooperation with the Faculty of Arts, organized a workshop to discuss the description of four new doctoral programs at the college.

This workshop comes within the framework of the University's efforts to enhance the quality of academic education and develop educational programs according to the highest standards.

The workshop began with a recitation from the Holy Quran and the national anthem, after which the description of the proposed doctoral programs was reviewed, and the academic and professional standards necessary to develop these programs and the ways to enhance cooperation between academic departments were discussed with the aim of improving the quality of education and contributing to the development of the educational process at the University.

In his speech during the workshop, the University Rector stressed that the Faculty of Arts is one of the oldest faculties at the University and the highest in its ability to spread the humanities and literary sciences in the country, noting that the college is distinguished by its distinguished academic cadres.

He also added that the college's academic leadership is working on describing doctoral programs in several humanities disciplines, which contributes to enriching the academic departments and providing faculty members with the opportunity to transfer their expertise and knowledge to students and researchers in the fields of literature, history, language and other humanities.

From his part, the Vice Rector for Graduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Abdulkarim Zabiba, praised the vision of the University Rector and his support for developing humanities programs, noting that the University leadership is committed to approving graduate programs according to the highest academic standards, which ensures the preparation of solid programs in various disciplines.

Dr. Zaid Al-Hadour, the Dean of the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance, confirmed that the center has prepared an integrated scientific description of the new programs, praising the success of the graduate programs that were previously opened at the college and urging continued efforts to launch more programs in the future.

In his speech, the Dean of the College of Arts, Dr. Amin Al-Jaber, welcomed the attendees and thanked them for their participation in the workshop, noting the importance of the new programs being discussed and the great role of faculty members in achieving the college's goals and raising its academic efficiency.

The workshop was attended by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Adel Al-Ansi, the General Secretary of the University, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, a number of Deans of Colleges and Vice-Deans of the College of Arts, and a group of Academic and Administrative Leaders at the University.

The workshop was facilitated by Prof. Hussein Al-Ansi, Dr. Fouad Al-Shamiri, Dr. Fahd Al-Dulai, Dr. Essam Wasil, Dr. Amin Al-Sallal, and Dr. Fadl Al-Omaisi, and the recommendations were presented by Dr. Najib Al-Warafi.

The heads of units in the Center for Development and Quality Assurance also contributed to organizing the workshop and preparing the description documents.
