A meeting chaired by Dr. Al-Haifi discusses the status of the College of Arts and the possibility of opening new Academic Programs Thamar University Media /Amin Al-Nahmi /Shawal 25, 1445. May 4, 2024 AD ■ Today’s meeting, at the Faculty of Arts, headed by the University Rector, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al-Haifi, discussed the educational and financial situation of the College. In the meeting, which was attended by the Vice-Rector of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Abdulkarim Zabibah, and for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the General Secretary of the University, Dr. Mohammad Hutram, the Dean of the College of Arts, Dr. Amin Al-Jabr, his two Deputies for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, and a number of Department Heads in the College, The General Director of Media at the University, a member of the Code of Professional Conduct Team, discussed a number of topics related to opening additional Programs in the field of Graduate Studies, and the possibility of opening new Academic Departments in the College. The meeting also touched on a number of proposals aimed at raising the capabilities, improving the capabilities of the College, and solving the accumulated problems it faced in the previous period, especially after the loss of the College’s buildings. This meeting reflects the interest of the University Rector in strengthening Academic Programs and providing opportunities to open new Programs that are compatible with the modern requirements of society, the national needs for literary, historical, and political competencies, and the necessity of developing the College and strengthening its position in the academic field./
