Among the objectives of the Department of Psychological Tests and Measures are the following:

 

1. Spreading the culture of measurement and evaluation and disseminating it at the educational and administrative levels.

 

2. Qualifying and training a specialized team in building, preparing and legalizing tests, the method of using them, and the interpretation of their results.

 

3. Providing qualitative and specialized advice in the field of measurement and evaluation.

 

4. Providing tests and measurements according to scientific and advanced standards.

 

5. Codify Arab and foreign standards in line with the characteristics of Yemeni society.

 

6. Automation of tests and measurements in line with the spirit of the modern era and the characteristics of civil society that will be applied to it.

 

7. Conducting specialized studies and research in the field of measurement and evaluation.

 

8. Working on finding question banks for courses at all educational and academic levels in order to develop and improve the evaluation process in Yemen.

 

9. Assisting and providing technical support to the bodies and institutions interested in measurement and evaluation.

 

10. Develop criteria and evidence to determine the conditions necessary to undertake a specific task in the individual, or to choose a specialty or quality of performance.

 

11. Identifying abilities, capabilities and mental, psychological and social skills, etc., to benefit from, develop and invest in them for the development and renaissance of society.

 

12. Diagnosis of psychological and behavioral disorders, problems, difficulties and obstacles at the individual, institution and community levels, to develop appropriate programs for them
