I would like to welcome you to the department of chemistry and it is my pride and pride to be entrusted with the presidency of the department by the president of our university distinguished Prof. Dr. Talib Al Nahari, who achieved his majesty since he was the head of the department in addition to his important professors and administrative staff many achievements despite the challenges And the difficulties that our beloved country is going through.
The Department of Chemistry was established as one of the departments of the College of Applied Sciences at Dhamar University in 1996 where the number of students at that time did not exceed ten students, which is now one of the largest departments in the College of Applied Sciences at Dhamar University where the number of students in the department exceeds 500 students.
The teaching staff in the department consists of twelve faculty members from the phD in the fields of organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, medical chemistry, analytical chemistry and industrial chemistry in addition to the faculty members. From his master's degree, he covers the basic aspects of chemistry.
The Department of Chemistry is concerned with studying all theoretical and practical subjects during the study period and the chemistry graduate has many job opportunities in the various fields of development, whether in the government or private sector in the country.
The Department of Chemistry has been keen over the years to prepare advanced educational laboratories comparable to those in the old universities where the department contains four laboratories in addition to a computer laboratory.
The department of chemistry developed a lot and is always in a state of continuous renewal where it opened graduate studies for master's degree in 2005 where the department of chemistry became a scientific place and expanded in the fields of scientific research.
He opened in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in 2009 and was equipped with laboratories and equipment to carry out most of the scientific experiments and researches that fall under the departments of chemistry and biochemistry.
